Recently unveiled in Potsdam in November 2018, the bauhausTWINS installation marks the beginning of the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus movement in 2019. The installation will travel to Central and Eastern Europe as an ambassador of the Goethe-Institut.
The Goethe Institut is a non-profit German cultural association operational worldwide with 159 institutes, promoting the study of the German language abroad and encouraging international cultural exchange and relations.
The walk-in installation refers to the progression to modernity and the sustainable development of our cities and buildings. An open, hot dip galvanized steel structure, which gives a different spatial impression depending on the perspective, reuses the original window elements from the studio house façade of the Bauhaus in Dessau.
